God’s Pity on Mankind
1. “Pity” can be understood in different ways. It means to love, protect, and care. “Pity” means to be deeply attached to. It also means caring, but caring too much to hurt. All in all, it’s a reflection of love and tenderness, or expression of feeling that you won’t give them up. Toward God’s word and His instruction, their attitude was different from people of Sodom. Their submission to God was full and thorough, and the repentance for their sins was wholly true. They were earnest, sincere in every way. So God once more displayed His heartfelt pity and bestowed it upon them.
