In Welcoming the Lord’s Return, Will You Only Believe After Seeing the Lord Like Thomas?

Now that disasters are constantly happening all over the world, the prophecies of the Lord’s return have been basically fulfilled. This is the critical moment when we ought to welcome the Lord’s coming. But when some people hear the news of the Lord’s coming, they raise this question: You say that the Lord has come back, but why haven’t we seen the scene of the Lord returning in the cloud? We wouldn’t believe rashly without seeing it with our own eyes … Isn’t this argument the same as Thomas’? Thomas was of a suspicious nature and did not believe the Lord Jesus’ resurrection until he saw the scars from the nails on His hands. But the Lord Jesus said: “Because you have seen Me, you have believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed” (John 20:29). Due to Thomas’ suspicion, he was eventually abandoned and eliminated by God. What warning, then, does Thomas’ failure in his belief in God bring us?

Besides Prayers, What Else Should We Do When Facing Disasters?

Recently, various natural disasters have continued to occur, and so do ethnic clashes and violence and other disasters. When these disasters happen frequently, the first thing many people think of is to pray to God right away and ask Him to keep them from these disasters. Besides praying to God and asking for His protection, what else should we do in the disasters? As we all know, when the Lord Jesus foretold the sign of His coming in the last days He said, “And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that you be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows” (Matthew 24:6–8).

Why Has God Become Flesh to Perform His Work in the Last Days?

The brother went on, saying, “So then, why does the Lord have to appear and work in the flesh when He returns in the last days, and not appear and work directly in the resurrected spiritual body? In the Age of Grace, the Lord Jesus performed the work of redemption.
