On November 2, 2019, from 6–8 p.m., hundreds of people, including Christians from
The Church of Almighty God (CAG), joined a rally “Stand with Hong Kong,” at Hongdae Street in Seoul, South Korea, in support of the pro-democracy movement in Hong Kong “Emergency Call for Hong Kong Autonomy.” It’s reported that people in 45 cities of 17 countries organized simultaneous events to support Hong Kong.
Ventus Lau, Hong Kong activist and organizer of the Emergency Call for Aid and Autonomy Rally, said that 112 is an international emergency telephone number and the rally was scheduled on November 2 to call on all countries to suspend the exports of the crowd control equipment to Hong Kong police, and urge international relief organizations to dispatch their staff to Hong Kong for assistance and observation.
During its autocratic rule of 70 years, the Chinese Communist Party has committed countless heinous crimes. It wantonly tramples human rights, deprives its people of their freedom, and slaughters numerous innocent people. Today, many people have awakened.
A speaker of the Society for Threatened Peoples said: “The [Chinese] Communist Party has been ruling like a dictatorship for the past 70 years. They have been suppressing people systematically. More and more people know that they can’t believe the lies the Communist Party is spreading.”
A retired Hongkonger angrily told the reporter that the CCP has been manipulating the Hong Kong government behind the scenes, and that makes the CCP their greatest enemy. There is no freedom or rule of law in China, and all media is under state control. The CCP tears down crosses, mosques, and has even edited the Bible and the Ten Commandments—things like that would never happen in a country with freedom of religion.
A CAG Christian was interviewed and she said: “In China, we don’t have the belief freedom, and we also suffer the persecution in China. Many of our Christians, we are forced to leave our homes. That’s why we stand here, so we can understand the Hong Kong people and we also call for more people to stand together to fight for our human rights.”
The president of Uyghur American Association, said in his speech: “[T]hey are a blood terrorist government. They killed millions and millions of Uyghurs, Tibetants, Chinese, and now they are incarcerating and cracking down on Hong Kongers. If they [do] not fight, they will kill all of us.”
The founder of Citizen Power Initiatives for China said: “China has suffered a sharp decline into fascism under Xi Jinping’s rule, becoming a fascist nation with Chinese characteristics. Its abilities to persecute its own people and to expand beyond its borders are directly related, so the more it’s able to persecute its own people, the more it can expand. This has allowed it to become the greatest evil force that now threatens the world. … People must unite to fight against the CCP, because it is the enemy of all mankind.”
The CCP has had a bloody 70 years in power. During these 70 years, what it has brought to Chinese people is nothing but harm and pain. Today, the people of the world have seen the CCP’s true colors—an evil, brutal fascist regime. They stand with those who are persecuted and suppressed by the CCP and they jointly denounce and protest against the CCP in order to defend civil rights, religious freedom and freedom of speech. Only if people all fight for justice and freedom will the massacre in Tiananmen Square not repeat itself and can Hongkongers and the people of the world gain true democracy and freedom. We hope that more democratic countries, human rights organizations and people of righteousness can stand with Hongkongers, jointly rise up against the CCP’s dictatorship, and say “You should give freedom back to people!” to it.
