For several thousand years, we human beings have been constrained by the bonds of sin. Every day we inevitably commit sins such as lying, cheating, engaging in jealous disputes, judging each other, and so on. Although we pray to God and read the Bible every day and even fast, we still live in the state of sinning and confessing and can’t cast off the bondage of sin, feeling miserable and helpless inside. The Bible says: “Holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord” (Hebrews 12:14). And the Lord Jesus said: “Truly, truly, I say to you, Whoever commits sin is the servant of sin. And the servant stays not in the house for ever: but the son stays ever” (John 8:34–35). After reading these verses, many brothers and sisters feel confused: We are still live in sin and haven’t attained holiness. Can we be raptured into the kingdom of heaven when the Lord returns? If not, how can we cast off the bonds of sin and be purified? Let's watch these videos to find the path of being freed from sin.

Christian Preaching: How Can We Be Free From Sin?
The Lord Jesus said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, Whoever commits sin is the servant of sin. And the servant stays not in the house for ever: but the son stays ever” (John 8: 34–35). The Lord’s words tell us that if people cannot rid themselves of the bondage and shackles of sin, and they continue to commit sins, then they are the servants of sin and shall never enter the kingdom of God. Reading this passage of Scripture, many faithful brothers and sisters will think of how they sin in the day only to confess at night, and so they will worry that they live in sin and cannot enter the kingdom of God, and they will be anguished in their hearts. They believe in the Lord, so why can’t they rid of themselves of sin? Just how can we rid ourselves of the shackles of sin? We will now fellowship on this aspect of the truth.

Why Are People Unable to Get Rid of Sin Even After Receiving the Salvation of the Cross?
By Xuesong
The cross was a torture device used for capital punishment in ancient times. After the Lord Jesus, who was free from sin, sacrificed Himself as a sin offering and was crucified for mankind, the cross came to symbolize the Lord Jesus’s redemptive grace. When we receive His salvation and come before the Lord to confess our sins and repent, our sins are forgiven. That is, the Lord no longer views us as sinful. As such, many of our brothers and sisters believe that receiving the salvation of the cross means they have already been saved, which means they have already been gained by God and when the Lord returns they will be caught up directly into the kingdom of heaven. However, has anyone stopped to question whether this line of thinking is commensurate with the Lord’s word? It’s true that we have received the salvation of the cross, but it’s also undeniable that we still often sin. Will people such as us really be caught up directly into the kingdom of heaven when the Lord returns?
