For two thousand years, although all believers have known the fact that the Pharisees defied the Lord Jesus, no one in the whole religious world knows exactly what the root cause and essence of the Pharisees' defiance of God is. Only with the coming of Almighty God in the last days can the truth of this question be revealed. Almighty God says, "These Pharisees in substance were stubborn, arrogant, and did not obey the truth. The principle of their belief in God is: No matter how profound Your preaching, no matter how high Your authority, You are not Christ unless You are called the Messiah. Almighty God says, "God’s treatment of people who blaspheme or resist Him, or even those who malign Him—people who intentionally attack, malign, and curse Him—He does not turn a blind eye or a deaf ear. He has a clear attitude toward them. He despises these people, and in His heart He condemns them. He even openly declares the outcome for them, so that people know that He has a clear attitude toward those who blaspheme Him, and so that they know how He will determine their outcome. However, after God said these things, people still could rarely see the truth of how God would handle those people, and they could not understand the principles behind God’s outcome, His verdict for them. That is to say, mankind cannot see the particular attitude and methods God has for handling them. This has to do with God’s principles for doing things. God uses the advent of facts to deal with the evil behavior of some people. That is, He does not announce their sin and does not determine their outcome, but He directly uses the advent of facts to allow them to be punished, to get their due retribution. When these facts happen, it is people’s flesh that suffers punishment; it is all something that can be seen with human eyes. When dealing with some people’s evil behavior, God just curses them with words, but at the same time, God’s anger comes upon them, and the punishment they receive may be something people cannot see, but this type of outcome may be even more serious than the outcomes that people can see of being punished or being killed."

Do You Wish to Know the Root of Why the Pharisees Opposed Jesus?
I Do you wanna know why the Pharisees opposed Jesus? Do you wanna know what their substance is? They were full of fantasies about the Messiah, only believing in His coming, not seeking truth of life till today. They’re still waiting for Him, still not knowing the way of truth or life.
II Do you wanna know why these silly folk didn’t gain God’s blessing? Do you wonder how they failed to behold the Messiah? They opposed Jesus, not knowing He spoke the way of truth, didn’t understand the Messiah or the Holy Spirit’s work, never seen or been with Him. They paid empty tributes to His name and all the price to resist Him.
III Disobedient, stubborn, arrogant, they held stubbornly this belief: Though profound was His preaching and authority on high, only if He’s called Messiah were they willing to concede. But these are ramblings man should ridicule and label as grandiose fantasies.
IV God is asking you: Are you not gonna repeat the Pharisees’ mistakes? Since you do not understand Jesus Christ, are you able to discern the way of truth and way of life, watch the Holy Spirit’s work and follow in His light? Can you guarantee you’ll not oppose Christ? If no, then you’re on the brink of death, not life.
